As our Senior Communications Manager – USA, you’ll work alongside the Communications Director to build, grow, and protect the reputation of LEGOLAND Florida Resort (including the Theme Park, Water Park, SEA LIFE Florida, PEPPA PIG Theme Park, and three hotels) and the Orlando Cluster (Madame Tussauds Orlando, the Orlando Eye, and SEA LIFE Orlando). You’ll lead all things public relations—think grand openings, media buzz, and brand storytelling—while also managing issues like a pro, making sure everything runs smoothly and stays on-brand. Plus, you’ll help keep the magic going behind the scenes by supporting internal communications for our Merlin teams. Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in communications roles, with a strong track record of proactively engaging media and managing public/stakeholder issues.
Proven success in crisis response and issue management, with a strategic, risk-aware approach.
Experience working in high-profile, public-facing environments, with the ability to draft precise, carefully considered public statements.
Understanding of (and ideally experience in) the Central Florida region and its unique communications landscape.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence in building meaningful internal and external relationships.
Ability to develop and execute communications and PR activities that align with corporate goals and best practices.
Flexible and responsive under pressure, able to prioritize and deliver high-quality work on short notice.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp eye for both opportunities and potential risks in messaging.
Sound judgment and the ability to provide ethical, transparent, and business-aligned communications advice.
Collaborative team player who values diverse perspectives and works well across departments.
Quick to grasp local community issues and support effective engagement strategies.
