Scope of Job:
Responsible for providing consistent and energetic performance in cast roles, by adhering to the standard set by the show script and Director. Performers will use their skill set to engage and entertain audiences throughout their day. LEGOLAND Florida Resort has such performance opportunities as mainstage shows, meet and greets, atmosphere entertainment, evening entertainment in our Hotels, and added opportunities for seasonal events such as Brick or Treat or Holidays at LEGOLAND!
All performers are required to audition.
Main Responsibilities:
- Attend rehearsals with other performers and work with choreographers, directors, technical crew, costuming, and stage management team
- Study scripts to determine project requirements
- Memorize scripts/lines, choreography, and blocking
- Research character’s personal traits and circumstances to portray the characters authentically to an audience
- Show mastery of athletic, vocal, stunt, or speciality skill sets
- Be collaborative with other performers both onstage and offstage
- Perform consistently for shifts assigned while applying performance notes and feedback
- Maintain required physical condition, endurance, and sense of rhythm as needed for role cast
- Performer under varying conditions
- Adhere to Resort wide guest service expectations, rules, and regulations
- Must be okay working with and around children
- Other duties as assigned, such as ensuring all costumes are properly cared for, all props and equipment used are handled and stored correctly, complete white glove assignments for greenrooms
- Engages in proper green room etiquette by being polite and conscious of peers
- Demonstrates excellent time management
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, holidays and weekends to support park operations
Health & Safety
- Employees are responsible for the safety of themselves, their colleagues and guests (where appropriate), in line with the Group Policy (HS001) and the law. In particular, they must ensure that they follow safe working procedures for all work activities that they undertake and they must not use any tools or equipment for which they have not been trained. Where incidents do occur, they must ensure that they are reported to their line manager and must cooperate with any investigation as appropriate.
