As a Retail Shift Lead, you’ll help steer the ship on busy days, motivate your crew, and ensure our guests have an ocean-sized smile when they leave. ππ§Ό
π’ Take the helm as Supervisor on Duty – managing the flow across Retail, Admissions, Attractions, and Food & Beverage
π’ Delegate tasks and monitor daily performance of front-line team members
π’ Be “guest-obsessed” π – lead by example and inspire world-class service
π’ Enforce all health & safety policies to keep our guests and staff safe
π’ Navigate guest traffic through busy areas with efficiency and care π¦
π’ Jump in to resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally
π’ Lead training efforts in ride safety, food safety, profit protection, and retail excellence – and keep accurate documentation
π’ Empower team members to create WOW moments through great service and recovery
π’ Coach team members, recognize wins, and address performance issues
π’ When not supervising, support your department through tasks like inventory, scheduling, training, and engagement
π― And of course: Be flexible and ready to assist wherever needed to ensure the attraction runs smoothly!

High school diploma or GED
β
6+ months of experience in attractions, retail, hospitality, or customer service
β
A natural leader who can coach, train, and uplift others π
β
Passion for providing fun, educational, and memorable experiences to families and children π π
β
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
β
A positive, proactive, and playful attitude
Licenses & Certifications:
π Must be able to obtain any licenses/certifications as required by law or the position.
Travel:
π Occasional local travel may be needed.
Working Conditions:
π Must be flexible – mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays required
π Regular attendance is essential
π£ Sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, twist, and reach throughout shift
π£ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with or without reasonable accommodation)
π£ Comfortable using POS systems and basic software
π£ Must be able to move around all areas of the aquarium, indoors and out, in varying temperatures
