What you'll bring to the team



As part of the Facilities & Maintenance leadership team, you'll oversee all resort infrastructure—including buildings, warehouses, utilities, and trades—across our theme park, hotels, and water park. From HVAC and electrical systems to carpentry and signage, you’ll manage daily operations, ensure regulatory compliance, lead capital projects, and keep everything running smoothly and safely. You'll also coordinate contractors and drive preventative maintenance to keep the guest experience seamless and our property in top shape. This role is a vital part of creating safe, functional, and unforgettable environments for both guests and employees. 

Qualifications & Experience

Main Responsibilities

  • Assists the Technical Services Director regarding park maintenance and budgeting for theme park facilities, buildings, attractions, water park and hotels.
  • Leads the development of the scope, budget, approval, and timeline for all maintenance and capital projects, ensuring efficient and effective project execution till point of completion.
  • Interviews, select, train, coach and provide on-going supervision and direction for department employees.
  • Completes and delivers employee performance evaluations.
  • Manages and supervises onsite external contractors.
  • Ensures consistent interpretation of the company policy and implements corrective actions and discipline as needed.  Has the authority to coach, counsel, discipline, suspend, and terminate employees.   
  • Confer with management and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
  • Maintains a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics and image of self and subordinates.
  • Follows established maintenance program, including emergency repairs as required to keep down time to an acceptable minimum in all areas of attractions and facilities.
  • Ensures internal compliance with maintenance, safety and security procedures by following established ASTM and loss prevention guidelines.
  • Ensures that all maintenance employees always follow the LEGO-established employee policies.
  • Responsible for the efficient operations of the maintenance stockroom facility to include all personnel, inventory control, work order and PM systems.
  • Responsible for work order planning, tracking and prioritizing to ensure timely completion of all work orders.
  • Keep safety as #1 priority.
  • Assists the Technical Services Director in establishing long and short-range maintenance goals.
  • Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
  • Inspect operating machines and equipment for compliance with operational standards.
  • Reviews plans, discusses equipment needs with the Technical Services Director, and buys necessary tools and supplies.
  • Helps design and expand a training system for LEGO maintenance, manages worker training to enhance performance, and ensures familiarity with company policies, including disciplinary actions and documented praise.
  • Keep informed of modern management techniques and technical methods by attending supplemental courses, seminars, conventions, etc.
  • Keep abreast of governmental, state and local regulations, including OSHA, ASTM and County codes.
  • Creates and maintains teamwork within the maintenance department and all other departments.
  • Perform inspections to review methods, techniques and procedures and ensure that employee qualifications are current and complete.
  • Directs maintenance of logs and records.
  • Act as a technical liaison between all departments.
  • Act as a maintenance liaison with group meeting planners.
  • Maintains inventories of repair materials.
  • Identifies, researches and recommends and secure bids for projects.

 

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • 10+ years in maintenance or construction, including 5+ in a leadership role

  • Strong hands-on experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems

  • Skilled at reading blueprints and assessing the safety of rides and facilities

  • Cool under pressure—especially in emergencies

  • Expert in preventative maintenance, utilities, and high-volume water systems

  • Confident leader who can delegate clearly and make quick, smart decisions

  • Familiar with environmental regs (CFC, HazMat), tools, and ride equipment

  • Tech-savvy and detail-oriented with strong communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

Pay Range

From USD $95,000.00/Yr.
