ROLE SUMMARY
The Commercial Sales Specialist is responsible for building and nurturing connections with key decision-makers to sell our product. They do so through channels like sales calls, video conferencing, emails, and in-person visits. They will perform a range of duties including generating and nurturing leads and selling high volume visits. The right candidate must have the ability to successfully close the deal by building a package that matches the diverse requirements of various stakeholders.
In addition to salaried compensation, this role will include a commission package.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive Revenue through various high volume ticket initiatives.
- Manage assigned revenue and expense budgets for fiscal year within assigned department.
- Research the target industry to discover prospecting opportunities.
- Solicit and monitor leads for B2B sales and attendance goals set with Commercial Manager
- Identify and pursue strategic opportunities for capturing high volume ticket sales from targeted state and local businesses.
- Assist in the formulation and implementation of proactive marketing campaigns.
- Maintain database and track leads, inquiries, lost business, sales revenue, and provide ongoing status reports to Commercial Manager.
- Develop targeted outreach for corporations, events, and special programs.
- Managing all B2B selling operations and activities within a particular territory, zone, or industry.
- Make networking appearances to sell throughout the tri-state area and beyond.
- Coordinate and process all phases of contracts, book orders, secure deposits and payments for ticket sales and reservations through the ticketing system.
- Work with Marketing Department and Graphic Design team to provide direction for all high-volume sales collateral production.
- Follow up with customers to determine satisfaction and secure repeat business.
- Achieve established contract quotas as assigned; revenue, per cap and attendance based.
- Report on customer relationships, sales forecasts, and new prospects within the assigned market.
- Manage various sales and marketing partnerships with city, state, and international partners.
- Planning and executing cold outreach in the form of emails and calls to attract new leads
- Nurturing the leads and understanding their issues inside out
- Conducting product demos and handling questions, rejections, objections
- Relationship management with multiple decision-makers and stakeholders to add value
- Negotiating and closing multiple sales deals to achieve high revenue
- Perform other duties as requested.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Requires extended periods of time at a computer workstation.
- Visual acuity is needed for data entry, review of sales orders and budget spreadsheets.
- Includes ability to listen and speak on the phone.
- Ability to move or lift up to 25 pounds for presentation set-ups.
- Includes walking and standing for up to 2 hours for gallery tours and events.
- Moderate noise in an open office environment.
