Essential Functions:

• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot all areas of the attraction's equipment and machinery, including HVAC, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, and themed attractions.
• Apply your hands-on knowledge to minimize downtime and maximize the guest experience.
• Perform various tasks, including custodial duties, equipment maintenance, exhibit setup, and takedown.
• Monitor and maintain building systems, ensuring a safe and clean environment for guests and colleagues.
• Adhere to safety protocols and promptly report any hazards or incidents.
• Collaborate with team members to complete work order repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Utilize your skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and low-voltage wiring to ensure the smooth operation of attractions.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficiency in basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Familiarity with data and networking systems, electronics, and PC hardware.
• Ability to work with various tools and equipment according to industry standards.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work without immediate supervision.
• Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

Health & Safety:

Safety is paramount at Merlin. You'll be responsible for ensuring the safety of yourself, colleagues, and guests. Compliance with safety procedures and prompt reporting of any incidents are essential.

Education and Experience:

A minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience or equivalent education. Previous experience in a technical or themed environment is preferred, along with a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Work Environment:

You'll work in varying environments, both indoors and outdoors, depending on the attraction's location. Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends, is required.

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to perform flexible hours to support site operations.
• Comfortable working in environments with exposure to various chemicals and loud noise.
• Capable of working at elevations up to 20 feet and climbing ladders as needed.
