At Peppa Pig World of Play, we're on the lookout for a dynamic and enthusiastic Guest Experience Supervisor to lead our amazing team and create magical memories for our guests. Here's what you'll be doing:

 

Key Objectives:

  • Be the Ultimate Host: Provide a warm, friendly, and efficient service, supervising our Shift Leads and Puddle Jumpers/Guest Experience Hosts to ensure our guests have the best time ever!
  • Maximize the Fun (and Revenue!): Use your product knowledge and strategic skills to boost visitor spending, helping us exceed our targets through clever up-selling and great planning.
  • Team Player Extraordinaire: Show initiative and proactively assist all team members, making sure everyone is supported and ready to deliver top-notch service.
  • Keep the Magic Flowing: Ensure the entrance, queue lines, and Admissions, Retail, and F&B areas are fully staffed and running smoothly, all while keeping within budget.
  • Sparkling Clean: Maintain all areas in a clean and tidy manner throughout the day, ensuring our attraction always looks its best.
  • Spread the Joy: Be courteous, pleasant, and approachable at all times, driving guest engagement and sales, and leaving our guests with magical memories of their visit.
  • Lead with Passion: Embody our Merlin Way values and lead by example, inspiring your team to do the same.
  • Innovate and Inspire: Be an active part of the operations management team, sharing your ideas and encouraging your team to do the same to continually improve our daily operations.
  • Step Up When Needed: Take charge in the absence of the Attraction Manager, ensuring the smooth running of our fantastic attraction.

Qualifications & Experience

Main Responsibilities:

Operations:

  • Sales Strategist: Monitor department sales and implement creative ideas to boost visitor spending and meet budgets, with weekly reports shared with upper management.
  • Team Communicator: Provide feedback to ensure the team knows their targets and is motivated to exceed them.
  • Guest Assistor: Help guests with ticket purchases and promote combination tickets & MAP.
  • Innovator: Gather feedback from the Puddle Jumper/Guest Experience Host team to develop successful promotional methods.
  • Quality Ensurer: Adhere to Mystery Visit criteria and ensure team members are trained accordingly.
  • Capacity Maximizer: Manage daily allotments through accesso passport control to maximize volume potential.
  • Procedure Follower: Implement opening and closing procedures as detailed in the department’s operating plan.
  • Trainer and Mentor: Train the team in standard operating procedures for Admissions, F&B, and Retail areas, including POS till system operation and queue management.
  • Payroll Supervisor: Monitor staff timesheets, fix errors, and approve payroll weekly.
  • Guest Flow Coordinator: Manage the smooth flow of guests through the attraction with strong queue management skills.
  • Motivator: Promote an efficient and friendly working environment and create sales incentives to boost staff motivation.
  • Resource Manager: Monitor and order office and cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Guest Support: Answer phone calls to provide accurate information and address guest concerns.
  • Team Player: Support, communicate, and encourage one another to create a fun and professional environment.
  • Party Coordinator: Manage party bookings, supplies, party bags, wristbands, and follow-up with parents/guardians.
  • Costume Handler: Act as a handler for costume character meet and greets.
  • Technical Liaison: Contact IT for Picsolve issues or other technical problems.

Health & Safety:

  • Safety Champion: Ensure a clean and safe environment that meets health & safety standards.
  • Policy Adherence: Follow all Health, Safety & Security policies and local legislation.
  • Fire Marshal: Coordinate area-specific evacuations during emergencies.
  • First Aider: Provide first aid assistance when needed.
  • Cleanliness Maintainer: Keep the attraction spotless by emptying trash, cleaning restrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting, and handling spills.
  • Repair Person: Perform minor repairs and contact Facilities for bigger projects.
  • Safety Inspector: Ensure play areas are safe and secure.
  • Incident Reporter: Log all incidents into Midas and monitor CCTV as needed.
  • Certification: Complete First Aid/AED Certification and Food and Beverage Manager Certification (provided by the company).
  • Storage Organizer: Keep storage areas clean and organized.

Recruitment:

  • Hiring Helper: Assist with recruitment tasks such as calling applicants, scheduling and conducting interviews, attending job fairs, and communicating with HR.
  • Orientation Leader: Conduct orientations for new Puddle Jumpers/Guest Experience Hosts.
  • Training Expert: Train new hires on guest service, core values, and health & safety.
  • Record Keeper: Update training procedures and maintain records of completed training.

Finance:

  • Cash Handling Expert: Ensure accurate and efficient cash handling procedures, monitor staff and customer transactions, and manage the Cash Office.
  • Financial Reporter: Handle tasks like cashing out tills, vault counts, financial reporting, Brinks deposits, purchase orders, and more.
  • Vendor Manager: Set up new vendors.

Retail Management:

  • Inventory Specialist: Conduct monthly inventories on products and consumables.
  • Shipment Processor: Check in and process shipments.
  • Stockroom Organizer: Keep the stockroom clean and organized.
  • Order Booker: Book orders through Futura and update Loyverse with new products and stock changes.
