What you'll bring to the team

In this role, you will assist in the accurate handling of financial transations, including reconciliation and reporting of daily revenue and monthly operating costs. You will help to protect EBITDA by working with operational departments to ensure proper internal controls and procedures are adhered to, and support the finance team in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial documents. You will also be required to complete administrative tasks and adhoc finance requests, particularly as it relates to banking and document retention. Our perfect candidate is a detail oriented individual with very strong analytical and organizational skills, who is excited to be a part of the theme park industry and drive their finance career forward.

 

This is a full time position (40hrs per week) and requires flexibility to work weekends. This is an onsite position at LEGOLAND Florida Resort (Winter Haven). Available for immediate start date. 

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assists Vault Supervisor on overall operations of the vault, frequently operating as a sole contributor:
    • Issuance of morning floats to operational departments, and verification of end of day returns.
    • Run system reports from financial and point of sale (POS) systems.
    • Process daily revenue flash reporting utilising TM1 financial system.
    • Adhoc banking administrative tasks.
  • Prepare recurring daily and monthly reconciliations, particularly as it relates to revenue.
  • Support operational department purchasers through accounts receivable and payable processes, improving adoption and quality of purchase ordering and invoicing via Coupa / NetSuite.
  • Special Project: Assist in the migration of physical document retention, including filing, destroying and digitising of historical paper documentation.
  • Adhoc finance tasks as required.

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Must be able to evidence computer skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office Products (Teams, Word). 
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills are required as is the ability to build and maintain cooperative working relationships with members of all departments within the organization.
  • Capable of self initiating work with minimal direct supervision.
  • Experience in a finance, accounting or cash control environment is preferred. Other professional experience or theme park industry experience is beneficial where transferable skills are evident.
  • Experience with accounting software such as TM1 or NetSuite is a plus. 

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required. 
  • An associate or bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or similar is preferred. Must evidence academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA).
  • 2+ years’ experience working in a finance, accounting, or office administrator role, with a demonstrated ability to perform the job functions may be accepted in lieu of a degree. 

 

Other Job Requirements:

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends to support park operations / team vacation coverage.
  • Must be highly adaptable to changing job requirements and be able to maintain absolute confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
  • Attendance is a mandatory function of this job.

      

 

Pay Range

Compensation between USD $16.00/Hr.-USD $18.00/Hr.
