Retail Store Manager

Salary Range: $65,000 – $70,000 / year + Comprehensive Benefits & LEGO Perks

In this hands-on leadership role, you will be the driving force behind our retail revenue, visual merchandising, guest satisfaction, and daily site operations. You won’t just manage a store—you’ll lead an immersive, high-volume retail and attraction ecosystem, building an energized team, optimizing sales per cap, and bringing the iconic LEGO® brand to life for thousands of families. 

What You’ll Do (Key Accountabilities) 

1. Retail Excellence & Visual Merchandising (Core Focus) 

• Drive Retail Sales: Own the P&L and sales performance for our high-volume LEGO® retail store, driving key metrics including per-capita spending, average transaction value (ATV), and units per transaction (UPT). 

• Visual Merchandising & Stock Control: Execute floor layouts, promotional displays, and seasonal stock launches aligned with global LEGO® brand standards. Maintain tight inventory control, cycle counts, and loss-prevention standards. 

• Commercial Strategy: Utilize sales data, inventory trends, and foot-traffic reporting to optimize stock availability, margin, and product placement. 

2. Commercial & Guest Operations 

• Holistic Guest Journey: Oversee daily operations across Retail, Admissions/Ticketing, and Café/F&B, ensuring a seamless, playful, and world-class experience at every touchpoint. 

• Guest Recovery & Service Standards: Role-model hospitality behaviors, coach staff on proactive engagement and upselling, and handle elevated guest feedback with empathy and decisive problem-solving. 

• Duty Management: Serve as on-duty operational lead during peak trading days, maintaining safety, guest flow, and operational efficiency across the entire attraction. 

3. Team Leadership & Talent Development 

• Build & Inspire: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing, enthusiastic team across retail, admissions, and guest services. 

• Culture & Accountability: Create an inclusive, energized workplace culture centered on team empowerment, continuous coaching, and clear performance goals. 

• Labor & Scheduling: Manage wage models, shift scheduling, and labor budgets to align with seasonal traffic peaks and commercial targets. 

What We’re Looking For 

• 3+ years of progressive management experience in high-volume retail, specialty retail, commercial guest operations, or multi-departmental venues. 

• Strong Retail Acumen: Proven track record in driving retail sales, visual merchandising standards, inventory control, and team KPIs. 

• Versatile Leadership Skills: Ability to oversee multi-functional teams (retail sales, ticketing, and light food/beverage services) with a guest-first mindset. 

• Commercial Drive: Comfortable analyzing sales metrics, managing operational budgets, and executing promotional strategies. 

• Operational Agility: Thrives in fast-paced, seasonal, and weekend/holiday trading environments.
