Maintenance Technician

 

LEGOLAND New York

 

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll help keep LEGOLAND New York Resort clean, safe, and operating at its best for guests and employees. You'll support the day-to-day maintenance, sanitation, and upkeep of our facilities while helping create memorable experiences for families visiting the resort.
 

What You'll Do:

  • Perform minor building repairs, preventative maintenance, and general facility upkeep
  • Drive a pickup truck and trailer to support facility maintenance and sanitation operations
  • Follow designated routes to collect and remove waste from back-of-house locations throughout the resort
  • Transport trash receptacles and materials to waste transfer and disposal areas
  • Operate equipment such as leaf blowers, power washers, and other maintenance tools to maintain resort cleanliness
  • Identify and report facility, equipment, or safety concerns to leadership for corrective action
  • Assist Utility Technicians with maintenance projects and specialized repair work
  • Support special projects and additional maintenance assignments as needed
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Help ensure all work is completed in accordance with company safety standards and operating procedures

Qualifications & Experience

What You'll Bring:

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles, including pickup trucks and trailers
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand basic English
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow directions and procedures
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Dependable, responsible, and safety-focused mindset
  • Friendly, positive, and service-oriented attitude

Experience operating or working with the following equipment is a plus:

  • Power washers
  • Leaf blowers
  • Street sweepers
  • Trash compactors and receptacle tippers
  • Hand tools and small maintenance equipment
  • Basic facility maintenance or groundskeeping equipment

 

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50+ pounds regularly
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
