Lead Technician - Legoland Discovery Center Atlanta

 

Responsibilities: 

  • πŸ—οΈ Oversee all facility & building maintenance, keeping everything running safely and smoothly

  • πŸ› οΈ Lead, schedule, and develop the Technician Team, forecasting staffing needs and managing coverage

  • πŸ”§ Manage vendors & trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, housekeeping, Triotec/Simex, and more)

  • πŸ–₯️ Own preventative maintenance & asset management using Facilitree software

  • 🎒 Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot rides, attractions, and facility systems to minimize downtime and maximize guest experience

  • πŸ’‘ Handle hands-on repairs & operations, including lighting, painting, equipment maintenance, custodial oversight, and exhibit setup

  • πŸ“‹ Ensure safety, compliance, inspections, and documentation, meeting all statutory and Merlin standards

  • 🌟 Create a “guest-obsessed” culture, motivating and empowering the team through training, recognition, and continuous improvement

Qualifications & Experience

About You:

  • πŸŽ“ Education & experience blend: High School diploma/GED required; technical degree preferred; Bachelor’s a plus

  • πŸ› οΈ Technical leadership background: 1+ year supervising in a technical or themed environment (automation, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, networks, animation)

  • 🎒 Hands-on maintenance pro: Experience maintaining rides, facilities, and a wide range of equipment

  • ⚑ Thrives under pressure: Excels at multitasking, problem-solving, and delivering top-tier service in fast-paced environments

  • 🌟 Natural leader with energy: Confident, approachable, guest-focused, and able to inspire teams with enthusiasm and drive
