The Facilities Technician plays a hands-on role in keeping the attraction running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting all aspects of the attraction, including audio-visual systems, lighting, equipment, and machinery. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys ensuring every guest experience is seamless and memorable. ✨
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot all areas of the attraction’s equipment and machinery, including HVAC, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing systems, as well as rides and themed attractions.
Apply hands-on knowledge and problem-solving skills to minimize downtime and ensure a seamless guest experience.
Perform general handyman tasks such as painting, wall repairs, carpentry, furniture assembly, and exhibit setup/takedown.
Maintain, install, and troubleshoot Audio Visual equipment for both new and existing exhibits.
Complete preventative maintenance tasks on a daily, weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly schedule.
Install or replace light bulbs, projector lamps, doors, data cables, and computer outlets as needed.
Monitor all building systems, correct or report safety hazards, and maintain compliance with OSHA and PPE standards.
Use hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently, applying technical expertise to repair and maintain attraction systems.
Collaborate with team members while also independently completing assignments with minimal supervision.
Take initiative, troubleshoot issues creatively, and contribute to a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Must be flexible to work mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Physical Demands:

Sit, stand, or walk for extended periods during shifts, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, or crouch to perform daily tasks.
Grasp, manipulate, and turn objects of varying size and weight using fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing job duties.
Operate basic computer tools and various hand and power equipment safely.
May work at heights of 20+ feet and be exposed to loud environments, corrosive or hazardous chemicals, fluorescent lamps, batteries, or hazardous waste.
Environmental Factors:
Work may take place indoors or outdoors with varying temperatures, lighting, and floor surfaces.
Exposure to extreme hot, cold, wet, damp, or drafty conditions may occur.
May encounter intermittent or constant noise, shaking objects, or equipment during daily operations.
Lifting Requirements:
Must be able to lift or carry items up to 70 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
